About

A company at the interface between medicine and engineering

Nevraxia is a Swiss business-to-business company working at the interface between medicine, engineering, artificial intelligence and MedTech. It builds AI and data systems for healthcare organizations, and provides clinical and technology expertise to the companies and investors that develop medical technology.

01The expert
  • Neurosurgeon · Engineer (EPFL)

  • Founder, Nevraxia

  • Medical Director, neurocentre – centre du dos, Lausanne

Areas of expertise

Neurosurgery, spine surgery, robotic surgery, surgical technologies, medical AI, clinical workflows and healthcare operations.

Advisory engagements are carried out independently through Nevraxia. Clinical affiliations are listed for professional verification and context.

02The perspective behind it

Nevraxia is led by a practising neurosurgeon who is also an EPFL-trained engineer and the director of a medical structure. That combination is the point: clinical work every week, engineering training, responsibility for how a medical organization is run, and daily use of the technologies that MedTech companies build. Developing AI solutions for clinical use is part of the same work, not a separate interest.

  • Clinical practice

Neurosurgery, practised continuously — including the parts of it that no specification captures.

  • Engineering

EPFL engineering training, and the habit of reading a technical architecture rather than a brochure.

  • Medical technology in daily use

Devices, imaging, documentation and decision-support systems used as a practitioner, not evaluated as an observer.

  • Organization of care

Direction of a medical structure: staffing, workflow, quality, and the operational limits that follow.

  • Economics of a medical structure

How such an organization is financed and measured, and what a new technology has to justify before it is bought.

03Scope and independence

Nevraxia is a business-to-business company. It does not provide medical care and does not accept patients. Contacting Nevraxia does not establish a clinical relationship. Clinical activity is conducted separately and is not part of what Nevraxia sells. Advisory work is carried out independently, and engagements that would create a conflict of interest are declined.

Whether you want to automate clinical work, have a product examined by a practising clinician, or bring a senior medical perspective into an engagement — a short first conversation is usually enough to establish whether there is something to do.
